Meet the Teachers
I have been involved in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 9 years. I received my certification for Child Development from Cerritos College. I love working with children because of the joy they have for learning and the excitement they receive when they accomplish new skills. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 2-year-old son Jaxon.
I attended El Camino College and Santa Monica College to earn my Child Development Units. I have been an early educator for 7 years and it has been such a rewarding career! My favorite part about being an early educator is knowing we are helping shape the leaders of tomorrow and setting the foundation for their success. As a teacher, I love introducing academics through play. I also enjoy implementing art into my curriculum. My favorite activities with the children are reading books together, dramatic play and art projects! My hobbies include reading a good novel, crafting, movie watching, and going to Disneyland with my husband.
I have been in the field of teaching for about 3 years. I spent my first year as a substitute for different age groups and my other years of teaching as a preschool teacher. I was inspired to enter the field of education by my cousin, who is on the Autism Spectrum, and although my field of education has changed to occupational therapy, I still have a heart to work with young children. From a young age, have known that I wanted to make an impact on young children’s lives. I graduated in 2017 with my associates in child development and transferred to California State University Dominguez Hills. I plan to graduate with my bachelors in spring 2020 and enter a master’s program for occupational therapy. During my free time I love to read, and I love to be outdoors whether it’s hiking, running, or riding bikes.
I was born in Massachusetts but raised in Huntington Beach California. I started my career as a teacher when I was 18 years old. I started as an after-school aide and worked my way up to a Pre-k teacher through education and experience. I was a teacher for 10 years when I got married and had two little girls of my own. I then decided to become a stay at home mom for 8 years. I have recently decided to come back to teaching and I have loved every second being back with the little ones! During my free time, I enjoy reading, shopping, amusement parks and spending time with my girls!
I have been with children and families in S. California for over 5 years. I grew up in Rancho Cucamonga where I attended Hillside Community Church and became close to God through volunteering with families of the community. I am studying Child Development at Cal State Fullerton and will soon graduate with my bachelor’s degree. At CSUF, I have worked with parents and their children in educating them in the importance of the first five years od childhood through the Resilient Families Program. I hope to serve God and the community as I continue my education. My hobbies include reading, hanging out with friends and bike riding.
I grew up in Orange County. I have been in the teaching field for 5 years. I started working with preschool aged children, at Valencia High School in 2013. I was inspired to get my degree in Early Childhood Education from my Mom and my ROP teacher. As I continued to work with children, I was offered a chance to work for Placentia- Yorba Linda Unified School District. I have been working for the School District for 2 and a half years. I currently go to school at Fullerton College and Cypress College. I am majoring in Elementary Education and Minoring in Early Childhood Education. I currently have 12 Units in Early Childhood Education. I plan on transferring to a University in 2021, so I can earn my Teaching credential. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, camping, attending concerts, spending time with family/friends, or spending time with my dog.
I am a senior at Biola University studying Early Childhood Education. I plan to graduate in the Fall of 2020 with my Bachelors in Multi-Disciplinary for Early Childhood Education and a minor in Biblical Studies. I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with children for 7 years in my church nursery, and as a Summer Camp Counselor. In my free time I love to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy wakeboarding, rock-climbing and anything outdoors!
I went to Cal State Fullerton to get my degree in Early Childhood Education, but felt the Lord calling me instead to Ohio Christian University to get my degree in Christian Ministry and Leadership. I have worked closely with children for many years which included nannying, working daycare, and day camps during the summers. My husband is a pastor here at Canyon Hills and we are expecting our first child in January. Outside of working, I am an avid reader and writer. I read and write mostly Young Adult fiction. I also enjoy playing video games with my husband and hanging out with our two kitties.
